We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong background in hospitality. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Answer phone calls promptly, assisting with reservations or inquiries using excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist guests with any questions or concerns, providing helpful information about the menu and restaurant services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
- Utilize POS or similar systems to manage reservations and track guest flow effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in food service or restaurant settings.
- Familiarity with POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all guest needs are met promptly.
- A genuine desire to help others and create memorable experiences for guests in a hotel or restaurant setting.
