ACE Forwarding is seeking a reliable and motivated Local Home Daily Truck Driver to join our team. This position offers the unique opportunity to drive locally while being home every day. Our drivers play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their deliveries on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Transport freight to and from designated locations, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and compliant
- Ensuring proper handling and securing of freight
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including bills of lading and other required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and maintain an open line of communication regarding any issues or delays. Follow safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe work environment.
Job Requirements:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- No mobile usage, careless/reckless driving violations in the last 5 years
- No major moving violations in the last 3 years
- No DUI/OWI
- Previous truck driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Must pass all DOT require drug testing and physicals
Wage Range: 25.00 - 27.00 per hour
