Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of Patrick Henry's.
This role oversees every aspect of restaurant operations, including leadership, guest experience, financial performance, team development, operational systems, and facility standards.
The General Manager is expected to lead from the floor—not from behind a desk. This is a hands-on leadership position where success comes from working alongside the team, supporting every area of the operation, and setting the standard through action.
*This position requires open availability and flexibility to work during operating hours as business needs dictate, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.*

Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example, maintaining a visible, hands-on presence and working alongside the team to support service and daily operations whenever needed.
- Create an environment built on trust, respect, ownership, and continuous development.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and employee development.
Guest Experience
- Champion exceptional hospitality and service standards.
- Build relationships with guests and the local community.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the guest experience.
Operations
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations.
- Ensure consistent execution of food, beverage, and service standards.
- Develop, implement, and refine operational systems, procedures, and training.
- Maintain a well-organized, efficient, and consistently prepared operation.
Financial Performance
- Own the restaurant's financial performance.
- Manage labor, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, food cost, beverage cost, and controllable expenses.
- Monitor Prime Cost and other key performance indicators.
- Review financial reports and identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.
Facility & Standards
- Maintain a restaurant that reflects pride, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, maintenance, and operational readiness throughout the facility.
- Protect company assets and equipment.
Business Growth
- Partner with ownership to continuously improve the business.
- Support marketing initiatives, community engagement, and special events.
- Collaborate with hotel and campus partners to coordinate private events, group dining, and special functions while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Help establish Patrick Henry's as one of the region's premier hospitality destinations.

Preferred Experience
- Minimum of two years of progressive restaurant management experience, including previous General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong understanding of labor management, food and beverage cost controls, inventory management, purchasing, budgeting, and Prime Cost.
- Experience implementing operational systems, improving consistency, and leading organizational change.
- Proficiency with restaurant technology, including POS systems, scheduling and labor management software, payroll and timekeeping systems, inventory management platforms, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and standard business reporting tools.
- ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain)

Compensation
Salary: $60,000 - $68,000 - with performance bonus.
