SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Accounting Manger, the Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial operations of Iona and processing transactions. Will also, work closely with the Accounting Manager to maintain strong financial records. This position requires a high level of integrity, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. This position operates in an office environment, with occasional opportunities for remote work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process vendor bills via Bill.com, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors, and maintaining proper documentation for all transactions.

Maintain new vendors and file required documentation such as contracts, W-9, and payment information.

Develop good relationships with vendors and handle vendors and staff inquiries.

Perform monthly bank reconciliation and identify discrepancies.

Assist with posting revenue transactions and other billing functions.

Proactively communicate with AM and Iona Directors about missing information, coding inaccuracies, and other matters.

Assist the accounting manager with government reimbursement reports.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization.

Proficiency in Bill.com preferred.

Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Excel.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
