We are seeking an experienced Breast Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing medical imaging staffing team as an independent 1099 contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sonographer looking for flexible work and the ability to provide high-quality breast imaging services in a professional healthcare environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic breast ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring appropriate patient positioning and comfort.
- Review images for technical quality and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff.
- Follow all applicable safety, infection-control, HIPAA, and imaging protocols.
- Properly transmit completed studies for radiologist interpretation.
- Maintain professional standards and represent our company positively at client facilities.
Qualifications
- ARDMS certification in Breast (BR) strongly preferred.
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB) or other relevant specialty preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Prior experience performing breast ultrasound examinations.
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound protocols.
- Excellent patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned facilities, if applicable.
- Must meet all credentialing requirements of assigned facilities.
