Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to support our hydro excavation operations. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, equipment, and job schedules while maintaining clear communication with operators, supervisors, and customers. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and experienced in dispatching field service or construction crews.
Schedule: Thursday, Friday & Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch hydro excavation crews to jobs efficiently and safely
Coordinate daily schedules, job changes, and emergency call-outs
Communicate with field operators, supervisors, and customers throughout the day
Track crew locations, job status, and completion times
Enter and update job details in dispatch and/or scheduling software
Handle inbound and outbound phone calls professionally
Resolve scheduling conflicts and operational issues in real time
Ensure accurate documentation of jobs, tickets, and work orders
Support management with reporting and end-of-day summaries as needed
Required Qualifications
Previous dispatch experience required (construction, oilfield, utilities, vacuum excavation, or similar industries preferred)
Strong multitasking and time-management skills
Ability to remain calm and make decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience dispatching hydro excavation, vacuum trucks, or heavy equipment
Familiarity with oilfield or utility work environments
Knowledge of GPS tracking and fleet management systems
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Work Environment & Expectations
Office-based role with frequent phone and radio communication
Must be able to sit for extended periods and work 12-hour shifts
Ability to handle multiple crews and changing priorities throughout the day
