JAX Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery is a growing, physician-led dermatology practice offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology in a supportive, team-centered environment. We’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to be one of the first smiles our patients see when they walk through the door.
About the Role
As a Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator, you are the “air traffic control” of the clinic. You’ll help patients feel welcome, keep the schedule running smoothly, and support our clinical team so they can focus on providing excellent care. You’ll be a great fit if you:

What You’ll Do
Patient Experience & Check-In/Out
- Greet patients with a warm, professional, and friendly attitude
- Check patients in and out, verify demographics and insurance information
- Collect co-pays and balances and provide receipts
- Answer phones, return messages, and route messages to the appropriate team member
Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule and confirm appointments for medical, surgical, and cosmetic visits
- Help manage schedule changes, cancellations, and waitlists
- Communicate clearly with MAs, providers, and the billing team to keep the day running smoothly
Administrative & Office Support
- Scan and upload documents, manage forms, and maintain accurate patient records
- Help with prior paperwork, referrals, and basic patient requests
- Support practice projects and process improvements as we grow
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role (medical office, hospitality, retail, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and a genuinely kind, professional demeanor
- Comfortable with computers and learning new software (experience with EMR)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to handle a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a “jump in and help” attitude
Preferred:
- Experience in a medical, dental, or specialty practice
- Knowledge of insurance basics (co-pays, deductibles, referrals)
