Benefits Specialist 1 – English/Cantonese
Full-time | $22–$24/hr | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
We are hiring a Benefits Specialist 1 to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team. This role is ideal for someone with recent call center experience, strong customer service skills, and healthcare insurance knowledge (a plus). Fluency in spoken English and Cantonese is required (spoken Mandarin is a plus). A California Life and Health Insurance license is required (or must be obtained; we provide licensing support to the right candidate).
Work Location
This role will begin in Chatsworth, CA with a planned office relocation to Thousand Oaks, CA later in 2026.
What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound calls from individuals inquiring about established healthcare insurance plans.
- Provide accurate, friendly, and efficient assistance.
- Make outbound follow-up calls as needed.
- Document all calls and keep client records current.
- Respond to emails according to company procedures.
- Collaborate with team members in a supportive environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a high-volume call center.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance is a strong plus.
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls daily with professionalism and care.
- California Life & Health Insurance license or willingness to obtain with our support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
- Fluency in spoken English and Cantonese is required. Spoken Mandarin is a plus.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
