Customer Support Representative I (Bilingual Spanish)
Location: Montebello, CA
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment Length: 3-6 Month Temporary Assignment
Position Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Customer Support Representative to provide exceptional service to members, providers, and member advocates in a fast-paced healthcare call center environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for incoming inquiries and is responsible for resolving issues, providing accurate information, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage a high volume of inbound calls from members, providers, and health plan representatives.
- Assist with eligibility verification, authorization status updates, PCP changes, appeals, grievances, and general inquiries.
- Document all customer interactions accurately and thoroughly.
- Update member demographic information and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with internal departments, provider offices, pharmacies, and health plans as needed.
- Conduct outbound follow-up calls and resolve open inquiries.
- Educate callers on available member and provider resources.
- Meet departmental performance metrics, including call volume, quality standards, and service levels.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of call center experience required.
- At least 1 year of healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Typing speed of at least 35-40 words per minute.
