Home Source Remodeling is a growing residential remodeling company focused on delivering high-quality craftsmanship and a professional experience for our clients. Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, decks, windows, doors, siding, roofing, and other residential renovations.
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer / Material Runner to support our field crews and warehouse operations.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on support position that plays an important role in keeping our remodeling projects and field crews moving.
The primary responsibilities of this position will include picking up and delivering materials to jobsites, organizing and maintaining our warehouse, loading and unloading materials, and making sure our crews have the supplies they need.
When additional help is needed in the field, this position will also work alongside our construction crews performing general labor and assisting our carpenters.
A valid driver’s license, reliability, and the ability to follow direction are required.
Previous construction or carpentry experience is preferred but is not required. We are willing to train someone who has a strong work ethic, good attitude, and a genuine interest in learning the construction and remodeling industry.
ResponsibilitiesMaterial & Delivery Support
· Pick up construction materials, supplies, and equipment from vendors.
· Deliver materials and supplies to active jobsites.
· Load and unload company vehicles safely.
· Verify materials and quantities when picking up or delivering orders.
· Help ensure field crews receive the materials they need when they need them.
· Safely transport tools, equipment, and construction materials.
· Communicate with project managers and field crews regarding pickups and deliveries.
Warehouse Support
· Receive and organize incoming materials and deliveries.
· Keep warehouse materials organized and easily accessible.
· Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
· Assist with staging materials for upcoming projects.
· Help track and identify materials assigned to specific jobs.
· Maintain general cleanliness of the warehouse and company vehicles.
Field / Construction Support
When additional help is needed on a project, you may be assigned to one of our remodeling crews to:
· Assist carpenters and lead carpenters.
· Perform demolition and jobsite cleanup.
· Move and stage construction materials.
· Assist with basic carpentry and construction tasks.
· Protect work areas and clients’ homes.
· Use basic hand and power tools when qualified to do so.
· Follow instructions provided by the Lead Carpenter or Project Manager.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.

Qualified candidates should have:
· A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
· A good driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles.

· Ability to work independently when making material runs or completing warehouse tasks.
· Willingness to work as part of a construction crew when needed.
· Ability to safely lift and move construction materials.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

· Professional attitude when interacting with vendors, clients, and coworkers.
· Willingness to learn.
Preferred, But Not Required
· Previous construction or remodeling experience.
· Basic carpentry knowledge.
· Experience using common hand and power tools.
· Familiarity with construction materials.
· Experience working in a warehouse or material-handling position.
· Experience driving a pickup truck, work van, or similar company vehicle.

When a Project Manager or Lead Carpenter asks for materials to be picked up and delivered, you can be trusted to understand the instructions, verify that you have the correct materials, and get them to the right place.
When working in the warehouse, you take ownership of keeping things clean and organized.
When assigned to a construction crew, you listen to direction, stay productive, help wherever needed, and look for opportunities to learn.
We are looking for someone who wants to become a valuable part of the team—not someone who needs to be constantly reminded what to do.

Compensation
$18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill level.
Compensation within the range will be based on previous work experience, reliability, ability to work independently, familiarity with construction materials, and any existing construction or carpentry skills.
Previous construction experience is preferred but is not required. Candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to follow direction, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn will be considered even without prior construction experience.
Candidates with previous construction, carpentry, warehouse, material handling, or delivery experience may be considered toward the higher end of the compensation range.
