Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Associate – Metal Fabrication to join our event rental production team. This position is responsible for fabricating custom metal event rental products, maintaining and repairing inventory, and ensuring all items meet company quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in welding, metal fabrication, or metal shop production, strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced production environment.
This role is primarily based in a warehouse and metal fabrication shop, with occasional travel to event venues for delivery, installation, repair, and breakdown of rental inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Metal Fabrication & Production
- Fabricate custom event rental inventory based on drawings, specifications, and design concepts
- Operate welding equipment, metal fabrication machinery, and hand/power tools safely
- Ensure all finished products meet company quality and safety standards
- Complete projects within production timelines and deadlines
- Apply finishes such as paint, polish, and protective coatings as needed
Inventory Maintenance & Repair
- Inspect event rental inventory before and after events for damage, wear, and safety concerns
- Perform repairs, welding, restoration, hardware replacement, and refinishing of metal products
- Identify maintenance needs and communicate inventory issues to management
- Maintain structural integrity, functionality, and appearance of all metal shop inventory
Warehouse Operations & Event Support
- Organize, stage, and maintain fabrication materials, tools, and inventory
- Assist with inventory tracking, counts, and reporting
- Load, unload, and move rental inventory and fabrication materials
- Support event setup, installation, modifications, repairs, and breakdown as needed
- Assist with general warehouse operations and special projects as assigned
- Travel to event venues and warehouse locations when required
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Properly use required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, respirators, face shields, and hearing protection
- Operate all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues
- Participate in ongoing safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety and accountability
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in welding, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing/production work
- Experience using welding equipment, metal shop tools, and fabrication machinery
- Ability to read measurements, blueprints, sketches, or design drawings
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, finishes, and repair methods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet production deadlines
- Professional communication skills when working with vendors, clients, and team members
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular physical activity in a warehouse and fabrication environment, including:
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent walking throughout shop and job sites
- Lifting and moving materials (including items over 50 lbs.)
- Repetitive motion associated with fabrication work
- Bending, kneeling, reaching, and overhead work
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Occasional climbing and ladder use
- Occasional travel to event locations and warehouse sites
Schedule
Day shift position. Schedule varies based on production and event demands and may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and overtime as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
