Position Summary
We're seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Legal Assistant to support our attorneys with case preparation, filings, and client communication. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, takes pride in accuracy, and genuinely enjoys helping clients navigate a stressful process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review immigration forms and supporting documentation (e.g., USCIS petitions/applications, EOIR filings)
- Complete and submit court filings accurately and within deadlines
- Track case deadlines and hearing dates using the firm's case management system
- Maintain regular, professional communication with clients in both English and Spanish, providing case status updates
- Organize and maintain client files, both physical and digital, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date
- Assist attorneys with trial/hearing preparation, including compiling exhibits and evidence
- Answer phones, schedule client meetings, and manage front-office duties as needed
- Support billing and intake processes as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys or firm management
Qualifications
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) - Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Required

- Strong team player with a collaborative attitude- Required
- Proficiency/ Basics with Microsoft Office, Google Drive and general computer literacy- Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, ideally in immigration law
- Familiarity with case management software (e.g., Clio) and immigration-specific systems (e.g., EOIR, USCIS online filing)
- Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Associate Degree

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (in-office) No Holidays or Weekends
