Job Description
A Housing Supervisor is responsible for managing supportive housing services for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use disorders. The role includes supervising housing staff, coordinating case management services, maintaining program compliance, and helping clients achieve housing stability and recovery goals.
Typical Responsibilities
- Supervise housing specialists, peer support staff, and case managers
- Coordinate housing placements.
- Conduct intake assessments and assign cases
- Monitor documentation.
- Maintain relationships with landlords, shelters, and community agencies
- Support clients with behavioral health and recovery-focused services
- Train and mentor staff members
- Handle crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Prepare reports for management and funding agencies
- Participate in community housing meetings and care coordination teams
- Ensure trauma-informed and culturally responsive care practices
Experience
- 2–5 years working in:
- Supportive housing
- Behavioral health
- Homeless services
- Substance use treatment
- Case management
- 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
