NOW HIRING: HOUSING ASSISTANT
Part-Time (20–30 hours/week) with the goal of growing into a Full-Time position
Serving housing authorities in St. Edward, Genoa, Greeley, Stanton & surrounding Eastern Nebraska communities
About the Position
TR Housing Solutions, LLC is seeking a dependable, motivated Housing Assistant to work alongside an experienced housing professional managing public and affordable housing across several rural Nebraska communities. You will train directly under a manager with 12 years of experience in the field, learning every part of the job hands-on — no housing experience required. This position starts part-time (20–30 hours per week) with the goal of becoming full-time as the role grows.
What You’ll Do
- Take applications and help manage waiting lists for multiple housing authorities
- Help place new tenants — unit showings, lease paperwork, and move-in/move-out inspections
- Work with the manager on income verifications and annual recertifications used to determine each tenant’s rent
- Handle day-to-day tenant needs — phones, questions, rent payments, and work-order requests
- Coordinate with maintenance on repairs and help prepare units for inspections
- Assist with paying bills and monthly paperwork for multiple facilities
- Keep tenant files accurate, confidential, and organized
- Travel between housing authority locations during the work week

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; a business degree is great, but not required
- Willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced work environment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple facilities weekly
- Self-motivated, dependable, fair, and level-headed
- Comfortable working with people and handling confidential information with care
- Good attention to detail — comfortable with paperwork, numbers, and basic computer work
