The Center for Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases at Colorado State University is seeking self-motivated researchers to contribute to ongoing studies of tick-borne disease ecology. The researchers will work with field-derived ecological datasets, conduct statistical analyses, and contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts and other research products. This position is well suited for individuals with previous research experience in tick ecology. Researchers will work collaboratively while completing tasks with an appropriate level of independence.
Clean, organize, document, and analyze data generated through field and laboratory research
Conduct statistical analyses using R or other appropriate analytical software
Create figures, tables, and summaries for manuscripts, reports, and presentations
Review and interpret relevant scientific literature
Assist with drafting, revising, and formatting scientific manuscripts

Previous research experience in tick ecology
Experience using R for data management, statistical analysis, or visualization
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative research team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate research findings clearly in written and verbal formats
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Previous experience working on tick-borne disease research projects within the Center for Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases or a comparable research program
Familiarity with datasets generated through tick collection, vegetation surveys, wildlife monitoring, pathogen testing, or other field-based ecological research
Experience with generalized linear models, mixed-effects models, spatial analyses, or other statistical methods commonly used in ecological research
Experience creating publication-quality figures and tables in R
Experience preparing scientific manuscripts, reports, abstracts, or presentations
