Join our vibrant farm stand and café team as a Farm Stand Attendant & Café Staff member! In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face welcoming visitors, assisting customers with their purchases, and preparing delicious food and beverages. You’ll play a vital part in creating an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy fresh produce, handcrafted drinks, and a warm community vibe. This position is weekends only: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service at the farm stand and café counters
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about produce, baked goods, or café offerings
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages, smoothies, snacks, and light food items following food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm stand, café area, and food prep stations
- Handle cash transactions, perform basic math for change calculations, and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
- Restock shelves, display cases, and café supplies to ensure a fresh and appealing presentation at all times
Skills
- Experience with Square POS for smooth sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Barista experience or coffee knowledge to craft quality beverages confidently
- Food handling certification or knowledge of food safety protocols in a café setting
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering, retail math calculations, and cash handling accuracy
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food industry standards for serving fresh products
