Full Job Description

Marples Gears is a small, fast paced, ultra precision gear and CNC machine shop. We are AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified, and we are ITAR registered. We are AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certified, and ITAR registered. We are located in Azusa, near the 210 freeway Irwindale exit. We manufacture fine pitch precision gears and related components for use in aerospace, space, medical, and instrumentation applications.

CNC Live Tool Lathe Machinist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for CNC Machinists capable of programming, setup, and running production on our Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and mills. We have day and night shift openings.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have EXCELLENT English speaking, reading, and writing skills and have the ability to clearly communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.

Have a minimum of 5 years experience on CNC Turning centers
Must be capable of efficiently setting up and programming our FANUC controlled 2,3, and 6 axis CNC turning centers, and running of production of parts on equipment.
Must be capable of creating and editing programs as needed.
Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment.
Must be able to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches.
Have basic computer skills.
Have excellent math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry)
Be able inspect and be responsible for the quality of your own work.
Must be a team player.
Be flexible and multi-tasking.
A sense of humor is appreciated
Knowledge of gear machining equipment setup a plus, but not required.
ISO9000 or AS9100 experience a plus.
Experience on Live milling Lathes a plus.
Gear cutting and inspection knowledge is a plus, but not required

Day Shift

BENEFITS:

Wages based on experience and night shift premium. Health insurance for employees is 60% paid, and 30% for dependents. We have our own eyeglass program; provide uniform shirts and approved work shoes after 30 days. We have a 401k plan, profit sharing, paid (accrued) vacation time, and donuts on Fridays.

SHIFTS:

Day shift is 6:00 am to 3:00 pm M-Thurs and 6:00am to noon on Fridays. Occasional overtime on Saturday may be available.
