Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Measure, mark, cut, and fit metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding as required.
Assemble and tack weld components to prepare for final welding.
Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments such as tape measures, squares, levels, and calipers.
Operate fabrication equipment to include grinders, saws, torches, drills, ironworkers, and plasma cutters.
Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
Repair defective welds and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve fabrication and assembly issues.
Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as required.
Travel 5% of time for meetings at other SSAB locations, deliveries, trainings, seminars & conferences as needed
