Position Overview
The Freezer Stocker is responsible for maintaining organized and accurate freezer inventory by stocking products, rotating inventory, checking backstock, and supporting inventory control processes throughout the freezer. This role helps ensure products are stored properly, shelves are stocked efficiently, and inventory remains organized and accessible to support freezer operations and order fulfillment.
The Freezer Stocker plays an important role in maintaining freezer cleanliness, inventory flow, and operational efficiency while following company safety procedures and warehouse standards.
Key Responsibilities
Stocking & Inventory Support
- Stock shelves and freezer locations accurately and efficiently in all incoming freezer products.
- Check backstock and replenish inventory as needed throughout the freezer to minimize shortages.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO procedures to maintain product freshness and organization.
- Change bin locations and reorganize products to support freezer efficiency and inventory flow.
- Assist with inventory counts and inventory control activities as directed.
Product Quality & Warehouse Organization
- Inspect products for damage, short-dated, or out-of-date inventory, and notify management of concerns promptly.
- Maintain organized freezer aisles, shelving, and storage locations.
- Support inventory accuracy by ensuring products are stored in the correct freezer locations.
- Clean spills and maintain clean, safe work areas throughout the freezer.
Equipment & Safety
- Safely operate pallet jacks, electric riding jacks, and other approved warehouse equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse operating guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of warehouse traffic, equipment movement, and safe material handling practices.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more regularly throughout the shift.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse work for extended periods.
· Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
· Experience in freezer or temperature-controlled warehouse environments preferred.
· Reliable transportation required.
· Experience in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, electric riding jacks, and reach trucks preferred.
· Comfortable working at heights exceeding 20 feet.
· Basic math and communication skills required.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Willingness to work overtime when needed.
· Dependable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
