Senior Helpers is hiring dependable, compassionate Companions and Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to support seniors throughout Ocean County.
Already a certified CHHA? We'd love to hear from you.
Not certified yet? Senior Helpers offers eligible candidates the opportunity to complete the required CHHA training at no cost to you. Upon successful completion of all required training, clinical requirements, and the proctored exam, you will be hired as a Certified Home Health Aide with Senior Helpers.
No previous professional caregiving experience is required.
Upcoming CHHA Training
The next available class begins September 8, 2026.
Candidates participating in the certification program will:
- Complete 60 hours of online learning by October 16, 2026
- Complete three days of in-person clinical training at our Brick office
- Complete and pass the required proctored exam
- Begin working with Senior Helpers after successfully completing all certification requirements
Candidates must live in Ocean or Monmouth County to participate in the CHHA training program.
Additional CHHA classes are offered monthly throughout 2026.
What You'll Do
As part of the Senior Helpers caregiving team, you may assist clients with:
- Companionship and conversation
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal preparation and mealtime assistance
- Medication reminders
- Daily exercises and activities
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Support for clients living with dementia or Parkinson's
- Helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home
What We're Looking For
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable vehicle and transportation
- Must be able to commute throughout Ocean County
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but not required
- Compassionate, dependable, and interested in working with seniors
- Current CHHA certification or willingness to complete the provided CHHA certification program
