MRI Technologist
Location: Novi, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks (3+ Month Contract)
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | Rotating weekends (every other or every third weekend)
Position Overview
Henry Ford Health is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join its Imaging Services team on a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will have hospital-based MRI experience, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations as ordered by physicians while producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout MRI procedures.
- Review patient history and verify physician orders before imaging.
- Operate MRI equipment in accordance with established safety standards and departmental protocols.
- Adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain optimal diagnostic results.
- Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures.
- Maintain MRI equipment and report any operational issues.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service throughout the imaging process.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Applied Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
- Hospital imaging experience is required.
- ARRT Registered in Radiography (RT(R)) – Required
- ARRT Registered in MRI (MR) – Required
- Current BLS Certification.
- Ability to work rotating weekends as part of the scheduled rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited MRI program.
- Experience working in a high-volume hospital imaging department.

Schedule
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotating weekends (every other or every third weekend)
- 36 hours per week
