Overview
We are looking to add Sheet Metal Worker to support all areas of manufacturing. We are looking for someone with experience ranging from "some sheet metal experience" to "advanced fabricator". The final job title and pay will be based on experience of the candidate selected. This role may be assigned to help in various departments, laser, forming, finishing, hardware installation, or shipping. We are looking for people with a "can do attitude" and willing to work hard within a great team.

Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of sheet metal fabrication equipment including press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines to shape and assemble metal components.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication processes and ensure specifications are met precisely.
- Set up machining tools and tooling for different operations, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions during production and quality control checks.
- Perform welding using various techniques to join metal parts securely while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, inspecting finished products for quality assurance and making adjustments as needed for accuracy.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during machine operation, material handling (including crane use), and assembly tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery such as press brakes, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, or forming machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read job packets and mechanical blueprints confidently.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments (caliper, angle finder, thread gauges, tape measure, and others) for quality inspection and precision measurement in metal forming processes.
- Familiarity with shop math principles essential for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are critical
- experience with welding techniques and safety standards in manufacturing settings is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments combined with a proactive approach to maintaining a safe workspace.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
