WHO THIS POSITION IS FOR
This is a great fit for an experienced technician who is comfortable with general repair and already has hands-on diagnostic experience.
You do NOT need to be a master technician or know everything.
You SHOULD:
- Have real professional automotive repair experience
- Be comfortable performing maintenance and general repair work independently
- Have hands-on experience diagnosing drivability, electrical, and check-engine-light concerns
- Be comfortable using scan data and service information to work through problems
- Be willing to continue learning
- Care about professionalism, organization, quality, and teamwork
If your experience is mainly limited to maintenance, basic repairs, or replacing parts after someone else has already diagnosed the problem, this position likely will not be the right fit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair Asian and domestic vehicles
- Diagnose drivability, electrical, check-engine-light, and other vehicle concerns
- Perform maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, and general repair work
- Use scan tools, service information, wiring diagrams, and testing equipment to help identify the cause of a problem
- Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) with proper photos and documentation
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Continue developing diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of professional automotive repair experience
- Strong general repair experience
- Hands-on diagnostic experience with drivability, electrical, and check-engine-light concerns
- Comfortable using scan tools, service information, and basic electrical testing equipment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well within a team
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
Preferred but not required:
- ASE Certifications
- State Inspection License
