Professional Summary The Senior Pipeline Planner/Scheduler (Level IV) serves as an accomplished Subject Matter Expert within the project controls function, responsible for developing, expanding, and maintaining comprehensive schedules across complex oil and gas construction projects. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this dynamic individual drives alignment across cross-functional execution teams, integrates multi-project data into master schedules, and proactively liaises with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure critical-path integrity throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end schedule management across planning, procurement, construction, and maintenance phases in accordance with enterprise Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) standards.
- Update and refine project schedules by integrating earned-value performance metrics and field construction tracking data.
- Analyze schedule variance, interpret activity performance, and evaluate baseline impacts to advise Project Managers on critical-path options and mitigation strategies.
- Develop dynamic "what-if" scheduling scenarios and schedule performance indicators to support decision-making and risk management.
- Integrate contractor, project, and third-party schedules into the master project schedule, ensuring alignment with overarching organizational objectives.
- Facilitate proactive cross-functional communication with internal departments, partners, clients, and regulatory authorities to gather precise operational data.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate planning staff while maintaining hands-on execution of daily project deliverables.
- Interface schedule data with enterprise cost management systems to maintain rigorous cost-and-schedule alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or technical college diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct scheduling and project controls experience strictly within the oil and gas sector, encompassing full project lifecycles from concept through completion.
- Proven track record of hands-on, field-level construction scheduling experience on major oil and gas capital projects.
- Expert-level mastery of Primavera P6, including schedule creation, resource loading, critical path methodology, and baseline control.
- Demonstrated experience working within regulatory frameworks governing oil and gas infrastructure.
- Proactive drive to independently pursue data, resolve scheduling logic issues, and engage directly with cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) regulatory processes and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with EcoSys or comparable enterprise project cost management software.
- Capital project experience within offshore oil and gas environments.

- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Office-based with remote flexibility; occasional field travel to worksites required).
- Working Conditions: Corporate office setting with periodic site visits requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
