Overview

Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development, including sensory play, motor skills, and social interaction
- Ensure the safety and supervision of infants at all times through vigilant child supervision and classroom management
- Support with routine care tasks such as feeding, diapering, and comforting infants in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns or observations
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any signs of injury or abuse according to state regulations
- Support classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and emotional well-being among infants
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants or in a childcare setting such as daycare or preschool is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is encouraged
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and early childhood curricula
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within the classroom environment
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience caring for infants can be valuable assets for this role
