We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a collaborative school team in the Marysville, CA area for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active California Education Specialist Credential (or ability to obtain prior to the start date)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous school-based special education experience is preferred but not required
- Experience working with a variety of disability categories and classroom settings is a plus
