Operations Coordinator – The Playground

About The Playground
The Playground is a one-of-a-kind indoor sensory motor gym where children build confidence, friendships, and healthy habits through purposeful play. We offer open play, enrichment classes, birthday parties, and special events in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.
What You'll Do
As our Operations Coordinator, you'll be the face of The Playground and play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for every family.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily operations of The Playground
- Welcome and engage children and families
- Host and coordinate unforgettable birthday parties
- Open and close the facility
- Manage customer check-in and scheduling
- Answer phones, emails, and customer inquiries
- Promote memberships, classes, and special events
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting facility
- Manage inventory and supplies
- Support social media by capturing photos and videos during events
- Assist with planning community events and promotions
- Build relationships with returning families
- Identify opportunities to improve operations and grow the business
- Lead by example and help create a positive team culture

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in child development, education, pediatric therapy, recreation, childcare, or a related field
- Experience working in a startup or growing business preferred
- Customer service or hospitality experience
- Event planning or birthday party hosting experience is a plus
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and social media
Schedule
- Part-time (approximately 20–30 hours per week)
- Must be available weekdays, with some evenings and weekends for birthday parties and special events
