Part-Time Ophthalmic Technician
Medical Center Eye Clinic is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. This role supports our physicians by providing excellent patient care and assisting with clinical testing in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain medical histories
- Perform visual acuity testing, intraocular pressures, and other diagnostic testing
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Support clinic flow and provide exceptional patient service
- Follow all HIPAA and clinic policies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or a medical office preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and testing
- Experience with EMR systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
