American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week MS/Tele travel assignment at a Critical Access Hospital in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

Work setting is a Critical Access Hospital on a 30-bed MS/Tele unit with an average daily census of 19
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)

Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements

Floating within scope is required, including to an affiliate hospital nearby; travelers may be floated when census is low

Charting is done in Cerner
-
Specialties and procedures include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, insulin drip titration, feeding tube care, renal failure patient management, port access, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, heparin protocols, vasoactive drip titration, CVA care, total joint replacement care, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy management, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions

Schedule requests and time off should be discussed with the manager

Active Illinois (IL) RN license currently in hand

Active certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred

Minimum 3 years of RN experience required

MS/Tele and Telemetry experience required

Experience with cardiac monitoring, emergency response, endocrine/metabolic management, IV therapy, and respiratory support required

Community hospital experience preferred

SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
