Position Overview

Oak Tree Learning Center in San Bernardino is seeking a dynamic Lead Teacher Assistant Director. This dual-impact role splits your day between leading our Pre-K classroom and shadowing our Campus Director to master daycare operations, Title 22 compliance, and staff leadership. Your Dual-Impact Role
- In the Classroom: Lead our play-based early childhood education curriculum, setting the gold standard for social-emotional and cognitive child development.
- In the Office: Support center enrollment, maintain staff and student records, and manage daily facility safety checks alongside the Director.
- In Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and childcare staff when the Director is off-site, ensuring 100% California CCLD licensing compliance.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 12 ECE Units (Must include Child Growth & Development; Child, Family & Community; and Program/Curriculum).
- 3 Admin Units in Child Care Center Administration or Adult Supervision/Staff Relations.
- 2+ years of teaching experience in a licensed daycare or preschool setting (Lead Teacher experience highly preferred).
- A detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to confidently partner with both parents and staff.
California State Requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification and 16 hours of Health & Safety Training.
- Up-to-date Mandated Reporter certification.
- Clearance of LiveScan background check.
- Current TB test and immunization records (MMR, TDap, Flu) per CA SB 792.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (Non-Exempt, based on ECE units and administrative experience).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Stable daytime hours—no nights or weekends).
