Nanopoly Resources LLC is an early-stage biotech company developing standardized, environmentally relevant weathered micro- and nanoplastic (MNP) reference materials for the research community. We operate at the intersection of materials science and advanced manufacturing, supporting federally funded research programs and building a commercial product line of standardized reference materials.
Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Research Technician to support laboratory operations and manufacturing workflows for our MNP reference material platform. This is a hands-on role central to day-to-day production, quality control, and material distribution activities. This role will include a 60K base salary + 30% fringe.
Key Responsibilities
- Support laboratory operations, sample preparation, and manufacturing workflows
- Execute formulation, batch preparation, and fractionation support activities
- Maintain inventory tracking and documentation
- Support stability-testing workflows and analytical preparation
- Prepare materials and shipments for distribution to research partners
- Perform laboratory maintenance and assist with SOP implementation
- Maintain contemporaneous records consistent with quality-management and recordkeeping standards
Qualifications
- Hands-on laboratory experience, ideally in sample preparation, polymer processing, or analytical workflows
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Ability to follow and help implement standard operating procedures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to lift 35 lbs above shoulder height
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
Preferred (not required)
- Experience with nanoparticle characterization, TFF/filtration, sonication, or microscopy
- Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (e.g., SciNote) and inventory systems
- Exposure to quality-management systems (ISO 9001-aligned)
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
