Modern Forge, Piney Flats, TN, is accepting applications for a Trim Die Polisher. You will be responsible for repairing, polishing and stamping of forge dies in the hammer and on the die bench as directed as well as processing of new and resunk dies. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. After 3 months of service, you become eligible for participation in our medical, dental, vision, and 401K coverage. After 6 months of service, you are eligible for vacation pay. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. Responsibilities
- Receive instructions and work assignments from Die Shop Foreman or from the priority board
- Clean used dies as instructed via die repair cards at die bench, then transports and stages dies in proper staging location using a forklift or hoist
- Pour plaster casts as directed on resinks and repairs and fills out DS-15 Process Sheet
- Grind, polish, repair, add stock, re-stamp and change heat codes during production in the Hammer Shop using various grinders and hand tools
- Pour lead casts or plaster casts of rolls, draws, finishers, blockers, busters, etc., as required
- Keep work and storage areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Relevant experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Final candidates will be required to undergo a background check and a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
