About the Role
Our IT Technicians are the face of the company. You'll be in front of clients most of the day, and you'll own their problems from the first phone call to the moment they're back to work. We're a small shop, which means you'll touch everything — workstations, servers, networks, cloud tenants, backups — instead of being stuck on one narrow tier.
We care more about getting it right than getting it fast. If you're the kind of person who double-checks the backup actually restores, you'll fit here.
We're open on experience level. If you've got years of field time, we want to hear from you. If you're early in your career but genuinely curious and good with people, we'll train you.
Tools you'll work in daily: ConnectWise, Kaseya, Miradore for mobile device management, and MSP360 with Backblaze for backup. Prior experience with these is a plus, not a requirement — if you've used comparable platforms, you'll pick ours up quickly.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues — onsite, by phone, and remotely
- Set up and configure new systems, including data migrations from old machines
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants: users, licensing, mail flow, SharePoint/OneDrive and Google Drive, MFA and conditional access
- Install and maintain servers, both physical and virtual
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, access points, and business Wi-Fi
- Set up, monitor, and test backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Respond to security incidents — malware removal, phishing cleanup, account compromise recovery
- Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, VoIP phones, and other peripherals
- Enroll and manage mobile devices through our MDM platform
- Manage domains, DNS, email routing, and hosting
- Build and maintain client websites — design updates, CMS administration, content changes, plugin and security patching, SSL and uptime
- Work vendor support and warranty cases through to resolution
- Document your work clearly in our ticketing system so the next tech isn't guessing
- Explain technical problems to non-technical people without making them feel stupid
- Prepare and deliver field tickets and invoices; coordinate scheduling with dispatch
AI at Silverwulf
We use AI tools daily and we're still figuring out where they help most. You don't need any AI experience to apply — but you do need to be comfortable using these tools and open about what's working and what isn't.
What that looks like day to day: using AI to research unfamiliar error codes and vendor documentation, draft client-facing explanations, work through scripts, and speed up documentation. What it doesn't look like: pasting client data into a chatbot or taking an AI's answer at face value. You verify before it goes to a client. The judgment stays yours.
If you've got ideas about where AI could take work off our plates, we want to hear them. This is an area where a new hire can shape how the company operates.
