Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Interim Director of Staff Development to lead and enhance our clinical staff training programs. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive education initiatives that elevate patient care quality and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties
- Develop and oversee staff development programs that align with nursing home policies, state healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
- Lead clinical staff training initiatives across various departments
- Ensure all training content complies with HIPAA standards, medical documentation protocols, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify skill gaps and tailor educational strategies to meet evolving patient care needs.
- Conduct evaluations of training effectiveness through assessments, feedback collection, and performance metrics analysis.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, certifications, and compliance documentation in accordance with health regulation policies.
Experience
- Proven nursing leadership experience with a strong background in nursing home setting.
- Extensive nursing home experience
- Must have LVN or RN License
- DSD Certification
- Demonstrated success in clinical staff training, adult education, and hospital-based instruction programs.
- Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA and state healthcare regulations is essential.
- Proficiency in medical documentation, medical records management, and medical terminology is required.
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Prior experience in precepting new staff members or students within a hospital or clinical environment is preferred.
