Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our back-of-house team. This position is responsible for executing grilled proteins, vegetables, and specialty menu items with precision and consistency while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables according to restaurant standards
- Ensure proper temperatures, seasoning, and presentation of all dishes
- Set up, stock, and maintain the grill station before, during, and after service
- Follow recipes, prep lists, and chef instructions accurately
- Assist with daily prep including portioning proteins, preparing sauces, and organizing mise en place
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
- Assist with receiving, labeling, rotating, and storing products as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of grill or line cook experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cooking temperatures, meat fabrication, and grilling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required
