As a Project Manager at Heyday Home Solutions, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day execution of construction projects from start to finish including pre-construction planning. You’ll ensure that every project is set up for success and runs smoothly on-site. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires daily jobsite visits, proactive problem-solving, and consistent communication with carpenters, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and homeowners.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable in residential construction, and enjoys supporting field teams by answering questions, providing direction, removing obstacles, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and on budget. You will serve as the primary resource for crews in the field and be expected to maintain a visible presence on active projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and construction timelines before work begins.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, scopes of work, and project details.
- Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections to ensure smooth project execution.
Daily Jobsite Management
- Visit active job sites daily to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and verify work quality.
- Ensure crews have the information, materials, tools, and support needed to remain productive.
- Serve as the go-to resource for carpenters and subcontractors by answering questions and providing guidance on project details, construction methods, and company expectations.
- Address challenges quickly and implement solutions to prevent delays.
Material & Resource Management
- Coordinate material orders and deliveries to ensure products arrive accurately and on time.
- Anticipate project needs and maintain workflow by preventing material shortages and scheduling conflicts.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to resolve delivery or product issues.
Communication & Leadership
- Maintain clear communication with field crews, subcontractors, office staff, and homeowners throughout each project.
- Conduct regular jobsite meetings and provide updates on schedules, priorities, and expectations.
- Foster a positive, professional work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality Control & Safety
- Perform ongoing quality inspections to ensure work meets company standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective action promptly.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices on all job sites.
Inspections & Project Closeout
- Schedule and attend required city and municipal inspections.
- Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Oversee punch lists, final walkthroughs, and project closeout procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management, superintendent, or site supervision experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential remodeling and construction practices, building codes, and project sequencing.
- Proven experience managing carpenters, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; travel between job sites is required. (there is potential for a company vehicle)
- Proficiency with computers and construction management software, including email, spreadsheets, scheduling platforms, and digital project documentation.
