American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring both circulator and scrub experience across a high-volume, multi-specialty OR with robotics capabilities.

Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM)
-
Main OR supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgical specialties
-
16 OR rooms with an average daily census of 35 cases

Two da Vinci XI robotic surgery systems in use
-
EMR: Epic; medication dispensing via Pyxis
-
Call requirements include 7–8 call shifts per 8-week schedule, with shifts structured as either C1 (7 PM–7 AM) or C2 (7 AM–7 PM), including 1 weekend call, 1–2 weekend shifts, and 2–3 weekday night call shifts

2–3 weekends required per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call

Floating is rare but may occur within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Adult to geriatric patient population

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required

Both circulator and scrub experience are required — this is a hard stop requirement

All required certifications must be current and on hand

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Candidates will undergo a clinical screening review prior to manager consideration to assess clinical fit

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a travel nurse

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

RTO blackout dates apply for Spring Break (April 4–12)

Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm

Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; late compliance may result in a 2-week start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
