Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic youth ministry programs that align with the church’s mission and values.
- Lead, train, and mentor volunteer teams, ensuring they are equipped to support the spiritual development of youth.
- Coordinate special events and outreach activities that foster community engagement and spiritual growth.
- Provide guidance and support to youth navigating various life challenges, including bereavement support and Christian counseling when appropriate.
- Oversee safety protocols, ensuring all activities comply with best practices for minor protection and well-being.
- Collaborate with church leadership to integrate youth programs into overall church activities and outreach efforts.
- Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, communication with parents, and record-keeping related to ministry activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with youth in educational or faith-based settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with youth, their parents, volunteers, and church leadership.
- Knowledge of social work principles, including bereavement support, and Christian counseling techniques.
- Experience in event planning to organize special events or community outreach initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor young people through positive role modeling and guidance.
- Background in fundraising or community engagement efforts is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
