Director of Housekeeping
Join a high-performing hotel team where your leadership drives exceptional guest experiences. We’re seeking a hands-on Director of Housekeeping in Waikiki to lead operations, elevate service standards, and build a strong, motivated team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the housekeeping team, driving accountability, engagement, and performance
- Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the highest cleanliness standards
- Oversee daily operations, including room inspections, VIP readiness, and high-volume turn days
- Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and payroll for the department
- Maintain inventory, control costs, and ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment
- Partner with Engineering and other departments to resolve maintenance and service issues quickly
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction scores
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational standards
- Manage vendor relationships and outsourced services as needed
What You Bring
- 3+ years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel or similar environment
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with scheduling, payroll, and inventory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
