Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, texturizing to meet each client’s unique preferences.
- Provide professional consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable hair treatments or products.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
- Use salon software to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Assist clients with retail product recommendations and upselling to enhance their overall experience.
- Stay current on the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
- Support store management by contributing to a positive team environment, mentoring new staff, and participating in promotional events like makeup application or nail care services.
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in hair styling, coloring, and hair extensions.
- Skilled in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and hair threading for diverse client needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients professionally and understanding their desired outcomes.
- Deep understanding of hair care products, color theory, sanitation standards, and cosmetology practices.
- Ability to perform eyelash extensions and makeup applications to offer comprehensive beauty services.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell retail products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
