American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown position in Texas, requiring at least 3 years of experience with cardiovascular and vascular expertise including HFNC, BiPAP, and drip management.

30-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, and CEA, as well as NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and trach patients
-
Specialized skills include HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and temporary pacer management

Night shift: 18:45–07:15

Floating required between the Critical Care service line

13-week contract
-
Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Minimum 3 years of RN experience required

Cardiovascular and vascular nursing experience required

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Driver's license copy required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Care for a complex cardiovascular and vascular patient population including post-surgical and acute cardiac cases

Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
