Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing attentive service to our guests while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely meal preparation.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with fine dining or nightclub experience being a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for managing reservations is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
