Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, hair extensions, and texturing treatments with precision and care
- Perform specialized services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations for hair care products and retail sales
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items and styling tools to boost sales while ensuring clients receive quality recommendations
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and supporting store management operations as needed
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hairstyling techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring (color theory), and styling tools
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
- Skilled in performing hair extensions, straight razor shaves, makeup application, eyelash extensions, and nail care is a plus
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, store management basics, and retail math principles
- Familiarity with hair care products and current trends in hair coloring and styling

Pay: $25.39 - $30.57 per hour
