Furnace Operator Lead – 1st shift hours – Pay up to $30/hr!
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Furnace Operator Lead to oversee daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong leader who can hold employees accountable, maintain production standards, and ensure the team is set up for success each day. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with manufacturing leadership experience who can make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support production employees to meet daily production goals.
- Arrive early (4:30–5:00 AM) to prepare equipment, personnel, and production schedules for the day.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and safety throughout the shift.
- Hold team members accountable to company standards and expectations.
- Communicate effectively with management and production employees.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and assist in maintaining efficient production flow.
- Train and mentor employees on proper procedures and best practices.
- Learn and operate induction furnaces and centrifugal spinning equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous lead, foreman, supervisor, or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate employees and enforce performance standards.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Comfortable working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Furnace, foundry, molten metal, or heavy manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with centrifugal casting/spinning operations is a plus but not required.
- Willingness and ability to learn induction furnace operations.
