We are seeking an energetic, hospitality-minded, and organized Independent Living (IL) Director to lead daily operations, resident experience, and community engagement for our independent living residents at Seneca Place!
In this dynamic leadership role, you will be the heart of our independent living community. You will oversee overall hospitality, coordinate resident services, direct campus support teams, and foster an active, welcoming atmosphere. If you excel at building meaningful relationships with seniors, leading enthusiastic teams, and maintaining exceptional operational standards, we want you on our team!
Operational Leadership: Direct the day-to-day operations of the Independent Living campus, ensuring high resident satisfaction, seamless service delivery, and top-tier community standards.
Resident Relations & Hospitality: Serve as the primary advocate and point of contact for independent living residents and their families; build strong relationships, resolve concerns promptly, and foster a close-knit community culture.
Team Development & Mentorship: Supervise and empower campus support staff (including front desk, concierge, and service leads), encouraging a culture of teamwork, hospitality, and accountability.
Life Enrichment & Wellness: Collaborate with Dining, Maintenance, and Activity teams to design engaging programming, social events, and lifestyle offerings tailored to active seniors.
Occupancy & Transitions: Partner with Sales and Marketing to welcome new residents, oversee the move-in process, and lead resident retention initiatives.
Budget & Administrative Oversight: Assist in managing operational budgets, vendor relationships, and campus maintenance needs to ensure a pristine living environment.
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in Senior Living (Independent Living or Assisted Living), Hospitality, Property Management, or Resort/Club Management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
Leadership Style: Approachable, visible, and proactive leader with a strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
Communication & Tech: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and senior living management/EHR software.
