Role Overview
This position is a mix of preventative maintenance and site operations (≈70%) and technical troubleshooting / IT support (≈30%). You’ll be responsible for maintaining ASIC miners, responding to operational issues, supporting deployments, and keeping detailed records of all site activity.
Training will be provided, with a focus on developing long-term technical skills and creating opportunities for growth as our Indiana operations scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine walkthroughs, inspections, and system checks across the site
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve ASIC miner issues to minimize downtime
- Replace hardware components (fans, PSUs, hashboards, cables, etc.) as needed
- Rack, deploy, and install incoming mining equipment in a timely manner
- Perform firmware updates, software resets, and basic configuration tasks
- Clean and maintain mining containers, pods, and surrounding work areas
- Replace and clean air filters; blow out equipment as required
- Monitor machine performance and escalate recurring or systemic issues
- Receive, inventory, ship, and document data center equipment
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, incidents, and daily activity
- Submit daily and weekly reports to off-site leadership
- Manage and update internal service tickets as needed
- Assist during outages or emergencies; on-call availability as required
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is a plus)
- 0–2+ years experience in IT, operations, manufacturing, construction, electrical, shipping, or troubleshooting
- Familiarity with computer hardware; ASIC or data center experience is a plus but not required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Positive, professional attitude and strong attention to detail
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 30–50 lbs.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods (up to ~6 hours/day)
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, loud, and industrial environments
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
