Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping and receiving tasks. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to operate various warehouse equipment, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading materials.
- Perform picking and packing of orders using RF scanners to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all products are accurately documented.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Participate in regular training on safety protocols and equipment operation.
- Support the team in heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is required, with knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with packaging, stocking, and order picking processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems such as AS400 is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
