Mag Park Studio, opens in heart of Magnolia Park, Burbank, on Sept 25, 2026, and we are looking for a collaborative, creative, inspired and experienced person to work with us!
The gallery store manager brings experience and enthusiasm to the operation of this unique place, and helps nurture the artists who come to participate, and the collectors who support them.
Must be an outgoing and organized professional with experience in all things art related. Also must be proficient in Photoshop, social media, ArtGalleria (or similar), website management, email marketing, retail merchandising and event planning & production.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates ownership and sets culture for fun and creativity
- Autonomously oversee daily operations of a gallery + store with small staff
- Scheduling staff and contractors
- Curation, creation and merchandising of art related products
- Customer service via in-person, email, and website inquiries
- Promotes an upbeat, clean, welcoming and organized environment
- Assist and collaborate with artists on various projects
- Collaborate in the development of shows and events
- Manage calendar and activities
Skills:
- Background in art, design, marketing, art instruction or related
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong computer skills (Photoshop, Web Content Management)
- Well versed in social media (Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest)
- Work well with little supervision
- Customer service focused
- Physically able to perform routine stooping, bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate
Experience required:
- Art related degree or 2+ experience
- 2+ years' experience in a retail, art gallery, customer service environment
- MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience working in content management systems
- Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to work flexible days and hours; including nights and weekends
Part-time approx. 30-35 hours per week
$25 - $35 Based on experience
