Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell menu items, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper beverage service techniques
- Ensure food safety standards are met through proper food handling, sanitation, and food preparation practices
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to uphold sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for sales transactions and order management
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Food safety certifications and understanding of sanitation protocols are highly preferred
- Experience with food industry standards including food handling, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and restaurant revenue
