Job Summary
The position will be responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule and technical performance on moderate-to-high-risk, performance specification, commercial and build-to-print subcontracts for DOD programs for specific and miscellaneous electrical hardware. Duties will include; preparation of bid packages, analyzing and evaluating proposals, selecting or recommending subcontractors, performing price analysis, subcontract/PO documentation and placement, invoice reconciliation, negotiating and coordinating additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Working with program personnel and other areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production and global sustainment for multiple contract types. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within a supply chain environment.
- SAP experience.
- FAR/DFARs purchasing experience with the electrical components.
- Heavily preferred candidates with previous government purchasing experience
- Ability to manage a high-volume commodity that requires some research and challenges in sourcing.
